The cottages, one and two bedrooms are fully equipped and maintained to a high standard. The older cottages have been carefully converted from the splendid range of stone barns and outbuildings which retain tremendous original charm and character, whilst offering every modern convenience and comfort. The cottages are a wonderful base for exploring the Island.
Laxey, with its quaint harbour, colour washed stone houses, lofty cliffs and great sweep of seashore, is just a mile or so down the lane. It offers many attractions with its history, charm and character. Children will love the beach and nearby Glen. There are many fine countryside and coastal walks nearby with opportunities at almost every turn to observe the glorious, unspoilt beauty of the Manx countryside. The electric tram also stops in the village of Laxey and offers a very good service throughout the season; take a trip to Douglas or Ramsey a lovely way to travel. It is also the starting point for the Snaefell mountain railway. The famous Lady Isabella waterwheel can also be found in Laxey and is known as the largest working waterwheel in the world and is a must for every visitor.
